PRAYER FOR MEMBERS OF THE ISRAEL DEFENSE FORCE

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

In the wake of Israel's ground incursion into Gaza, the EU, UN, and Arab Nations have all been calling for an immediate ceasefire, all the while condemning Israel. The United States has been the only country to come to Israel's defense thus far. Everyone seems to forget that it was Hamas shooting missiles into Israel from Gaza that started Operation Cast Lead. I say if Hamas wants a ceasefire, they need to cease firing. We did not start this, they did. And we have a right to protect ourselves and our land.

Iranian President Mahoud Ahmadinejad has stated that he wants to wipe Israel off the map. So why does the United States, who claims to be Israel's greatest ally, continue to let him into the United States? When will someone stand up and DENY HIM A VISA! Not any time soon.

President-elect Obama has had no qualms about meeting with Ahmadinejad unconditionally in the past, and apparently has no problem continuing the open dialogue.

This makes Obama's move to "prove" his loyalty to Israel by offering Congressman Rahm Emmanuel, the son of an Israeli, the position of Chief of Staff seems a little hollow. Iran is a hotbed of terroristic, anti-Western, and anti-Freedom thought and activity. Iran hates both the United States and Israel. And they want the right to go nuclear. The stakes are a lot higher than most realize.

RELIGION OF PEACE

Once again, the great "Religion of Peace" (otherwise known as Islam) has shown its true face to the world with the murder of a teenager in a suburb of Toronto, Canada. Aqsa Parvez, 16 was strangled to death by her father for refusing to wear the hijab, the traditional Muslim head scarf worn by devout Muslim women. Naturally, the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations has declared that it is merely an issue of domestic violence. While these so-called "honor killings" have been practiced in Muslim countries for years, they are becoming more frequent in the West. Women and girls have been murdered for being raped, (as if this is somehow their fault), dating someone of a different religious faith, or doing anything else that would bring shame upon their family.

This is the religion we are to honor and respect, according to Liberals. Menorahs and Nativities are out as decorations in public places to satisfy a Separation of Church and State clause that is found no where in the U.S. Constitution, but American school children are taught a reverent respect for a religion that promotes not only so-called honor killings, but also the murder of men, women, and children who are infidels according to that religion's holy book.

May America never forget: these are the people who flew planes into our buildings and killed thousands of our people in a single day. These are the people who blow up our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, who are building a nuclear bomb in Iran.

And may Israel always remember: these are the people that blow themselves up in crowded market places and buses, who kill innocent men, women, and children. These are the people our current government wants us to negotiate with.
